“Downton” Star Heckled At Theatre

No, I’m not talking about “Downton”‘s Matthew Crawley (Dan Stevens) in Broadway’s “The Heiress,” which just opened to reviews all over the map. I’m referring to Laura Carmichael (“Downton”‘s middle sister, pictured left), who just opened in London in a production of “Uncle Vanya.” The heckler was none other than distinguished director Sir Peter Hall (right), who is reported to have yelled “”Stop, stop, stop. It doesn’t work and you don’t work. It is not good enough. I could be at home watching television.” Hall later apologized.
