Goode To Play Papal Confidante

In any case, that very fine actor Matthew Goode (pictured) has signed to play the Pope’s secketary in “The Vatican,” a Showtime project that marks the first TV pilot directed by Ridley Scott. Goode’s character is German, leading one to ask: with Benedict’s XVI‘s resignation, and his gorgeous “ass-istant” along with him, isn’t this program a little behind the curve?
