The House Where “August: Osage” Was Shot

In this item about why “August: Osage County” may not make a potential Oscar-Best-Pic film (too talky; Tony-award-winning Best Plays — “War Horse,” “God of Carnage” — haven’t been made into first-rate movies lately), I was less interested in the arguments and more taken by the photo of the house north of Pawhuska, Oklahoma, where the film was shot. That porch just makes me want to put on a white suit and serve crinoline-covered ladies some iced tea.
