The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals handed a victory to Hollywood studios on Thursday when it ruled that the BitTorrent site isoHunt was liable for “inducing†the download of infringing TV shows and movies. Well, the studios can spend billions in legal fees trying to prevent downloading of content but they’re never going to shut it down entirely. If they came up with a different model for distribution, maybe they’d profit of consumers’ desire to see things when they’re fresh.
