Your Weekend: LemonWade Recommends

Movies: Some people are saying that “42,” about Jackie Robinson, is too gloppily inspirational, but what’s a movie about him supposed to be? He was a hero! I’ve enjoyed most of the “Scary Movie” franchise, but Charlie Sheen and Lindsay Lohan? Really, I just can’t. Television: Josh Groban lovers must be getting all wet in anticipation of his Lincoln Center broadcast on Friday. I’ll reserve my excitement for “The Good Wife” and “Game of Thrones” on Sunday. Music: Kacey Musgraves nouveau-country CD, “Same Trailer Different Park,” has been winning me over. Books: Mark Mazzetti’s “The Way of the Knife,” about CIA operations around the world, is highly disturbing. Sports: Two questions for Sunday: can Tiger do it? And will a win finally redeem him? Finally: So much energy expended on guns and immigration. Meanwhile, the Biggest Issue — the environment — lingers.
