Your Weekend: LemonWade Recommends

Movies: I’m glad Dwayne Johnson survived hernia surgery, but my fellow feeling doesn’t extend to buying a ticket for “Pain & Gain.” “Midnight’s Children” is finally getting a release. Television: I missed the NY Phil’s “Carousel” concert this winter, so I’m happy PBS is broadcasting it on Friday. “The Good Wife” has its season finale on Sunday. Music: Being a hot mess is real life doesn’t seem to have hurt Fantasia and the sales of her new CD, “Side Effects of You.” I love the nu-disco vibe of Classixx’s single, “All You’re Waiting For.” Books: Is there a kookier title this year than that of David Sedaris’s “Let’s Explore Diabetes with Owls“? Sports: I can’t believe the Knicks are for real this season — at least until they hit the Heat. Finally: I continue to feel strong sympathy for the victims of the Boston bombings. But maybe the media’s obsession with the story is a little overdone?
