Television: Sunday-Night Scorecard

Call the Midwife: The central plot — an old pub owner dying, his first grandchild being born — was a little too neat for my taste. But touching nonetheless. Grade: B+. Mad Men: People go nuts trying to figure out who didn’t vote for Wilt Chamberlain for MVP. And that was the evening’s highlight! The show grows ever darker. Death (pancreatic cancer this week) everywhere. Grade: C. Game of Thrones: Jon Snow and Ygritte scaled the icy wall and slipped, but the result wasn’t what I wanted. I don’t like episodes in which Diana Rigg’s character doesn’t get her way. Grade: B.
