Woof Fest: First Dog Symphony Ever

You mean I have to go all the way from NY to Philly for this? Created for dog-lovers everywhere, the all “pup culture” multimedia summer concert experience, Woof Fest, arrives in Philadelphia on August 24 for a fun-filled, family night outside. The fest brings together everything we love about dogs in the form of music, videos and pictorial tributes dedicated to all kinds of dogs: service dogs, therapy dogs, rescue dogs and the family dog. Backed by an orchestra of more than 80 featuring members of the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia, Maestro Steven Mercurio — the visionary behind this one-of-a-kind family event — will conduct the first-ever symphony composed entirely in celebration of man’s best friend, known as “A Grateful Tail,” as a part of the event. F. Murray Abraham will sing.
