Emmy Awards: Some Predictions
The Emmys are my least favorite of the major awards shows: the Grammys have live performances, the Oscars have tradition and prestige, and the Tonys may be comparatively minor but they are fun (at least this year). How can you care about the Emmys when “Behind the Candelabra,” the HBO pic about Liberace, goes into Sunday’s telecast having already won eight statues in last weekend’s “minor” Emmys? So don’t expect me to take the time to make predictions: these look as good as any.
