I’ve met David Bowie (aka Aladdin Sane), and our conversation was about a couple of novels, so I knew he loved to read. But I had no idea just how exquisitely literary his taste really was until I perused this new list of his 100 favorite books, courtesy of a new exhibition at the Art Gallery of Ontario. “Lolita,” “The Leopard,” “Wonder Boys,” “Earthly Powers,” “Flaubert’s Parrot,” “Herzog,” “Mystery Train,” Frank O’Hara. He could have been looking at my bookshelf!
