You Should Watch “Parks And Recreation”

Every time I see the poster for NBC’s Thursday-night line-up of comedies, I feel as if it’s the 1950s: eight white people. But I have to confess I enjoy one of the programs: “Parks and Recreation.” Like “Modern Family,” which it’s hip to bitch about now but which I still watch, “Parks” is a warm mockumentary, about a group of loving eccentrics. It’s also corrosive. And it’s got Aziz Ansari, who’s about as lovable as a basket of cobras. That’s a compliment.
