Scorsese Movie: Full Of Sex And Drugs
Martin Scorsese’s “The Wolf of Wall Street,” starring Leonardo DiCaprio as financial finagler Jordan Belfort, has been screened for some members of the media. Many of them found it hugely enjoyable. It’s “Goodfellas” on speed. (Scary thought, right?) The new movie will be a hit and I can’t wait to see it. But the idea that some bloggers are floating that “Wolf” could win the Oscar for Best Picture is dubious: too much frivolous sex and drugs to do that. “Wolf” has a better chance at the Golden Globe for Comedy/Musical, although this month’s other celebration of tits and Tina — “American Hustle — may edge it out.
