Bacharach Evening: My FT Review
The Financial Times has published my review of “What’s It All About?” a musical evening at New York Theatre Workshop devoted to the compositions of Burt Bacharach. Bottom line: ‘The songs are sturdy enough to withstand the most radical of remakings. Without a central story to bind them, however, the numbers cumulatively feel stretched.’
