Kristin To Play Jolie Role: Maleficent
Angelina Jolie will have some competition in the Maleficent department soon. (I’m not hearing good things about the Jolie movie, which comes out May 30.) Oklahoma’s own Kristin Chenoweth has been tapped to play the mother of the villain from the Sleeping Beauty saga in the Disney Channel telepic “Descendants,†which revolves around the offspring of famous Mouse House villains. It begins production later this month, which is a good thing, since it will be finished in time for Miss Kristin to star late this year in a Broadway revival of “On the Twentieth Century.”
