I Don’t Like The Creative Arts Emmys

Over the weekend, the Creative Arts Emmy awards were presented in Los Angeles. I have never liked the idea of ghetto-izing the behind-the-scenes people — art directors, costume designers — just so they don’t have to be given time at the “grown-up” Emmy awards, which will be presented next Sunday (before NFL season starts). But what I really dislike is that some of the acting Emmys are given at the Creative Arts affair. For example, I’m thrilled that Uzo Aduba (pictured), who is “Crazy Eyes” on “Orange Is The New Black,” won a CA Emmy. But why is she considered a “guest actress” when she is clearly a regular member of the “Orange” ensemble?
