Fashion Week’s Finest Moment
Well, well: somebody shook up the formula of runway presentations at Fashion Week in New York. According to one report: guests at the Opening Ceremony show were ushered in behind Lincoln Center in what looked like a loading dock and made to wander through the bowels of a stage to get to their seats. The result looked something like community theater. Until the show started, revealing the Metropolitan Opera’s majestic chandeliers and rows of red seats. Yes, the audience was sitting backstage at the Met. The audience watched a play directed by Spike Jonze (pictured, with Jonah Hill) and starring Hill, Elle Fanning, Bobby Cannavale, John Cameron Mitchell, and other actors. Oh, and there were clothes, too.
