TV: Sunday-Night Scorecard

The Good Wife: Alicia gains a new opponent (David Hyde-Pierce) in her race for DA, and Kalinda and Cary can’t end their attraction. The episode felt like a place-holder for bigger developments next week. Grade: B-. The Walking Dead: Beth (Emily Kinney, pictured) wakes up in an Atlanta hospital, but her rescuers aren’t who they seem. Meanwhile, the sense of temporal continuity in this episode was murkier than ever — and that’s saying something, as the passage of time is never very clear in this show. Grade: B. Downton Abbey: A lot happened in this episode but all that mattered was that Isis, Lord Grantham’s dog, has cancer. Will she die in next week’s finale? The Countess of Grantham had the best line: ‘A lack of compassion can be as vulgar as an excess of tears.’ Grade: A-.
