Kathy Griffin Debuts On “Fashion Police”

Well, it could have been worse, I guess. Kathy Griffin made her debut last night on “Fashion Police,” assuming the throne athwart which once sat Joan Rivers. The Daily Beast’s resident gay, Tim Teeman, says Kathy’s “jokes lacked bite and wit.” But anyone who took over from Joan was going to be excoriated, and Kathy knew that going in. I thought Kathy was fine. Brad Goreski also made his bow, and his gay-nerd persona scored a point or two. And the assembled gaggle — which also included Kelly Osbourne and Giuliana Rancid — mostly got it right as to which Golden Globes gals deserved bouquets and which brickbats.
