Obama Movie Announces Cast
What? You were expecting Will and Halle? Denzel and Viola? No it’s a couple of relative unknowns: Actors Parker Sawyers and Tika Sumpter (pictured) have been cast as Barack and Michelle Obama in a forthcoming romance about the couple’s first date. “Southside with You” will follow the format of Richard Linklater’s romance “Before Sunrise,” which details the 24-hour encounter of a young American man and French woman as they get to know each other during a day in Vienna. The Obama movie, of course, will be a day in Chicago, the Vienna of the Midwest.
