Neil Patrick Harris: How’d He Do?
I agree with Variety that “Best Time Ever with Neil Patrick Harris,” which debuted last night, was slightly headache-inducing. The show’s trump card is that it’s “live,” but the debut offered a hell of a lot of prerecorded, canned features. Reese Witherspoon, who showed up a bunch, was a good sport, but the program in general was a bit like the social director of a cruise who insists that you have fun. Let’s give NPH a few more episodes before we pass definitive judgment. He’s highly likable and I want him to succeed.
