Rex’s Oscar Predictions: The Long List

LW’s Oscar lover Rex Okpodu writes: ‘Following screenings and reviews from recent film festivals — Venice, Telluride and Toronto leading to New York right now and the AFI film fest in November — I have come up with a long list of contenders in the top categories for this year’s Oscar nominations. Only the best picture category is chosen by alternate voting system and could total between five and ten contenders while the other categories are the usual five. The nominations will be announced January 14, and the ceremony held on Sunday, February 28, 2016.’
