Really? No! Harvard Business School, Columbia Business School and Insead (“the Business School for the World”) have produced an academic paper with the modest title “The Highest Form of Intelligence: Sarcasm Increases Creativity for Both Expressers and Recipients.” No surprise in this corner. My favorite performers — Groucho Marx, Claude Rains, Bette Davis, Bea Arthur (see video) — are experts in the art of sarcasm.
