Oscars “Most Diverse Ever”? Please!

This year’s Oscar show “will be the most diverse ever,” producer David Hill told Variety on Monday at the Oscar nominees luncheon. Talk about adding insult to injury. None of the twenty acting nominees and none of the director nominees are non-white, and the producer thinks that having a black host and oodles of non-white presenters will make the Oscars the “most diverse ever.” I can’t stop laughing. Pictured at the luncheon are AMPAS president Cheryl Boone Isaacs and likely best supporting actor winner Sylvester Stallone, who, by virtue of being the only nominee from a movie, “Creed,” about black empowerment, symbolizes the reason for the #oscarssowhite campaign.
