Concorde: How The Rich Used To Roll

I flew the Concorde only once, from Paris to New York. These pictures brought the experience back to me. The aircraft (inset, bottom left) has sat on the tarmac in Orly, France, for more than a decade, and hasn’t flow since it was decommissioned in 1975. However, after a decade on the tarmac in its current spot, it is now being painstakingly restored, recreating every tiny detail inside. Hundreds of dials and switches have already made the cockpit (main, left) look exactly as it did 40 years ago, and the luxurious and spacious cabin, where world leaders signed the deal that put Concorde passenger planes in the air, has been fully restored (main image). However, while it will soon welcome members of the public, it will never fly again.
