Repubs: More Unauthorized Use Of Music

Trump speech was filled with deceit, so why should the convention’s use of music be any more honest? First, it was Queen’s “We Are The Champions.” Then Earth Wind & Fire’s “September.” Then Pavarotti’s “Nessun Dorma.” Last night, as Ivanka entered, it was George Harrison‘s “Here Comes The Sun.” Harrison’s family tweeted that the use of the song had not been authorized and was ‘offensive and against the wishes of the George Harrison estate’. Harrison wrote the song, a catchy, upbeat homage to springtime, which appeared on The Beatles’ 1969 album “Abbey Road.” Later Harrison’s estate joked, in another tweet: ‘If it had been ‘Beware of Darkness,’ then we MAY have approved it!’
