Shirley Booth “Glass Menagerie” On Tonight
This is quite something: a thought-lost TV version of “The Glass Menagerie,” starring Shirley Booth and Hal Holbrook, has been tracked down and will air tonight on TCM, exactly fifty years after it was broadcast on CBS. The archivist who found it is onto her next project, which she says is the Holy Grail: a filmed version of “Annie Get Your Gun,” with Ethel Merman.
