Yes, John Mahoney Was Gay
We will remember John Mahoney, who died over the weekend, primarily for his role on “Frasier” and for his long devotion to the theater in his beloved Chicago. These facts have been amply covered in his obituaries. But what none of them has mentioned is that Mahoney was gay. Some of the obits even resorted to that hoary code phrase “he never married.” Yes, he was a private guy. But this is 2018, people: get over it.
