Your Weekend: A Selective Guide

Movies: “Captain Marvel” will dominate the weekend, but there’s also a new “Nancy Drew” movie. TV/Streaming: On Sunday, PBS reruns “The Widower,” which I somehow missed upon its initial airing in 2014…John Malkovich does his best as Hercule Poirot in “Agatha Christie’s The ABC Murders” on Amazon. Music: Weeks after the Oscars, “A Star is Born” and Queen still dominate the top-selling album chart. Books: My former colleague Ann Goldstein translated the Elsa Ferrante novels into English; now, Goldstein has translated an Elsa Morante novel called “Arturo’s Island.” Sports: March Madness is veering into view but first we have a lot of conference tournaments. Finally: Sometimes, I don’t know what to say here.
