Your Weekend: A Selective Guide

Movies: I will see “Once Upon a Time in America” for Brad Pitt, even though Tarantino’s record with women and association with Harvey Weinstein give me the creeps. TV/Streaming: Just as I was getting used to the James Norton vicar on “Grantchester” they replace him with a younger model…Still no word on when the new season of “The Crown” will debut. Music: I’m a fan of Ed Sheeran, but at first listen his new “Collaborations” album leaves me a little cold…The new Mozart opera boxed set is terrific: details here. Books: My favorite new title: “Make Your Bed: Little Things Can Change Your Life.” Sports: There’s a Friday night exhibition match between Real Madrid and Atletico right across the river from where I live — I’ll have to watch on the telly, however, as I dislike Met Life stadium. Finally: It’s almost back-to-school time for about half the country.
