“Mrs. Doubtfire” Musical Heads For B’way

It hasn’t even opened out-of-town (that’s next month, in Seattle) and the musical version of “Mrs. Doubtfire” has announced a Broadway engagement for next spring. Why move so fast? Real estate? (A theater became available.) The strength of the property? (The movie appeals to families.) Jerry Zaks is busy the second half of 2020? (With “The Music Man,” starring Hugh Jackman.) Who knows.
