Movies: The New York Film Festival, currently running virtually, has some worthwhile free fare for streaming here...Aaron Sorkin’s “The Trial of the Chicago 7” has gotten mixed reviews, but I can’t wait to see it…TV/Streaming: I hope you haven’t had the misfortunate of watching “Ratched” on Netflix: high production values but otherwise blah…I’ll keep watching the detective show “Van der Valk” on PBS because of the Amsterdam locations but not for the title character, who is a total shit…Books: Have you ordered President Obama’s new memoir yet? It’s coming out after the election, so as not to steal media attention from Mister Biden…Music: I’m listening to a lot of vintage Al Stewart — “Time Passages” has aged pretty well…Sports: It’s looking like the Lakers and the Heat in the NBA finals. Excited!
