“News” About Adam Guettel
I love it when I see stories online that present themselves as “news” when it is in fact something that’s been reported long ago. Case in point: months ago I told you that theatre composer Adam Guettel (pictured) was working on something based on the work of 19th-century American writer Washington Irving. Now Playbill.com, citing an article in the Guardian, presents as “news” the fact that Guettel is working on something based on Washington Irving. (As well as something based on Danny Boyle’s 2004 movie, “Millions.”) As is so often the case, if you want the latest news it pays to read LemonWade.
