PBS: New “Sherlock,” “Upstairs”
Judging from my email, I wasn’t as keen on the recent television Sherlock Holmes remake as many LW users. And I certainly thought that the remake of “Upstairs Downstairs” was a surprising disappointment, in spite of my love of looking at older women’s faces (Jean Marsh, Eileen Atkins) that unlike their American counterparts haven’t been altered out of recognition. Nonetheless, I feel compelled to inform you all that there will be three new”Sherlock” episodes on PBS next May (starring Benedict Cumberbatch, pictured) and six new “Upstairs” in 2013.
