Emma’s “Sweeney” To Air Sept. 26th
I loved seeing Emma Thompson last March in “Sweeney Todd” at the New York Philharmonic. She was joined by Audra McDonald (as the beggar woman) and Welsh bass-baritone Bryn Terfel as the titular barber. Now, TV viewers can experience the joy of seeing Thompson sling (pies) and sing (Sondheim) when the production airs on PBS’ “Live From Lincoln Center” series. Set your calendar for September 26th.
