Nude Beach: Best Band In New York?
Time Out/New York considers a new double LP, “77,” by the group Nude Beach, and says: “The Brooklyn trio cements its status as the best rock & roll band in town.” Of the title, guitarist-vocalist Chuck Betz adds, “Obviously, the number 77 has a lot connotations. The big one being Elvis dying [that year and] punk coming in. It’s a changing point.”
