Radiohead Erases Itself Online

Radiohead has left the internet. The band seems to have removed its online presence, replacing its home page with a plain white screen, deleting its Twitter and Facebook history—and sending out hard copy leaflets in the post. Radiohead.com is a blank page. And 12 million users like a Radiohead Facebook page with no content. Meanwhile, fans have received cards in the post from the band which say “Sing the song of sixpence that goes ‘Burn the witch’.” Perhaps unsurprisingly, this is all stoking speculation about what it means for the band’s ninth studio album. Fans had been expecting a June release. The removal of its digital presence, though, may suggest it could arrive a little sooner than expected.
