Bye-Bye “Beaver”‘s Eddie Haskell

The death of Ken Osmond, who played the patent phony Eddie Haskell on “Leave It To Beaver,” is a reminder that beneath the show’s well-scrubbed veneer was a slew of double entendres. One of them is in the clip above about rubbers. The all-time dirtiest was when June Cleaver, concerned about the discipline meted out to her younger son, turned to her husband and said, “Ward, I think you’re being too hard on the Beaver.”
