Judy, Ethel, and Bernadette
My video link to Judi Dench singing “16 Going On 17” was such a big hit that here’s another musical-theater tidbit: the actress Christine Pedi (pictured), best-known for her work in “Forbidden Broadway” in New York, singing “And I Am Telling You,” in the singing voices of Judy Garland, Ethel Merman, Kate Hepburn, and myriad others. My favorite is Edie Beale, although you haven’t lived till you’ve listened to Pedi imitate Bernadette Peters. This stuff really is like crack.
