Rex Okpodu reminds me that, according to Academy rules, an actor cannot be nommed twice in the same category. So though it’s absurd to put Kate Winslet (pictured) in Best Supporting Actress for “The Reader” since she’s the main character, that’s where she’ll end up. Second Winslet Thought of the Day: Whatever Oscar category she loses, it will be to someone from “Doubt” (Streep in Best Actress, Davis in Best Supporting Actress).
