Susan Boyle Covers Depeche Mode
She’s already covered Velvet Underground god Lou Reed – so why not Depeche Mode? The “Britain’s Got Talent” contestant turned global star takes on the Depeche Mode classic “Enjoy the Silence†on her upcoming third album, “Someone to Watch Over Me,” out November 1st. (Thank God it’s not another Christmas CD!) Slowed down to showcase Boyle’s church-choir vocals, the tune seems almost unrecognizable save for those famous lyrics. Orchestra swells add emotion to Boyle’s soft delivery. Listen here.
