Behind The Scenes With Patti LuPone
Joshua Johnston, the son of Patti LuPone, has posted the first installment of a new Youtube documentary series tracing the on and off-stage life of his two-time Tony Award-winning mom. The premiere episode follows LuPone (“Evita,” “Gypsy,” “Anything Goes”) throughout Italy and other parts of Europe as she performs her cabaret act “The Gypsy in My Soul” on a cruise ship. Her family comes along for the adventure, which was captured during the summer of 2011. The second episode of “Entrances, Exits, and Everything in Between with Patti LuPone,” will air Oct. 8. Johnston filmed and edited the series.
