“Wolfpack”: Not Since “Grey Gardens”

Any review containing that golden phrase will immediately lurch me bolt-upright. The subject is a new documentary, premiering at Sundance, called “The Wolfpack.” This Crystal Moselle-directed documentary spotlights six snappily-dressed brothers who have rarely left their Lower East Side apartment – and whose contact with the world is mostly through movies. The Guardian review says: ‘Not since “Grey Gardens” has a film invited us into such a barely-functioning home and allowed us to gawk without reservation.’ As the photo suggests, the brothers are obsessed with “Reservoir Dogs.”
