Frank O’Hara: Poet Of “Mad Men” Era

Frank O’Hara, the American poet who died on Fire Island in 1966, was so much more than the Bard of the “Mad Men” era — read by such as Don Draper (pictured). But that’s how the BBC is choosing to package O’Hara in this article. The occasion: the 1993 biography of the poet by my old pal Brad Gooch is being reissued. And a feature film based on it is being hatched. I’m so pleased about these things.
